Happy Rock Resort

For a lot of people, summertime in Southwest Michigan means taking a vacation at a lakefront cabin. Happy Rock Resort, located in Lawton, is a premiere location for just such a getaway. Situated right by the sandy shore of beautiful Gravel Lake, Happy Rock Resort offers everything you could want in a summer vacation. For the fishing enthusiast, the waters of Gravel Lake are perfect because of the visibility, depth, and quantity of fish like northern pike, largemouth bass, bluegill, yellow perch, bullhead, and even some walleye and crappie. And because the beach front cabins offer kitchens and outdoor grills, you can fry up the catch of the day and savor your hard work.

Folks that prefer activities other than fishing will not be disappointed, though, since Happy Rock Resort features many other traditional Southwest Michigan vacation activities. Sandy beaches abound here, and there is no shortage of public access for swimming. The waters of Gravel Lake are perfect for water sports like kayaking, tubing, and wake boarding. Guests can also rent pontoons or speedboats at the local marina. Perhaps the best feature of Gravel Lake is that it has the designation of being an ‘all sports lake’. This means that there are no restrictions concerning speed, horsepower, wakes, or time. In other words, feel free to really let loose and enjoy your favorite activity. If you stay at Happy Rock around the Fourth of July, you can enjoy the boat parades and Paddle Boat Regatta. When evening rolls around, you can sit down by the beach and enjoy the pleasures of sitting around a campfire with family or friends. If you keep an eye on the water, you might see any number of birds that call Gravel Lake their home.

The beach front cabins are the perfect place to wind down after a long day or even just in between the day’s many activities. The cabins are all newly remodeled and offer plenty of amenities like DVD/VHS players, microwaves, coffee makers, wood burning stoves, and, in some units, air conditioning for those hot summer nights. Altogether, Happy Rock Resort is the perfect choice for a Southwest Michigan vacation whether it’s summer or any of the other seasons.

Great Pizza In Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo has a great reputation for locally owned restaurants. These restaurants feature just about every type of cuisine you could want, including two of everyone’s favorites, pizza and Italian food. While there are many fine establishments which offer these choices, there is one Kalamazoo restaurant called Erbelli’s that stands out above the rest. Erbelli’s has two locations to serve customers plus they offer takeout and delivery options so that customers can enjoy their food at home. Their innovative approach to making pizza has won them awards like Best Gourmet Pizza and a Kalamazoo Gazette's Reader Choice Award.

One of the menu items which helped them secure these prestigious awards is called the N.E.O. or New Erb Order. Instead of using the traditional tomato based sauce, this pie starts with homemade Alfredo sauce and pesto to create a flavorful base for this pizza. Then come the creative and delicious toppings: Italian marinated chicken breast, cheese filled tortellini shells, sun-dried tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, feta cheese and bacon. This tasty blend is just one of the many great options available at this Kalamazoo Restaurant. Other examples include The Wrist, Erbelli’s Favorite, and Chicken Bruschetta. All of their pizzas use only the freshest ingredients and homemade crusts and sauces. They even take into account that not everyone can eat wheat based products and created a gluten free pizza so that no one is left out. Their attention to quality and detail has led to many satisfied and full customers since they opened for business fourteen years ago.

While pizza is their specialty, Erbelli’s also serves delicious calzones, gourmet subs, salads, and even desserts like Chocolate Fudge Torte. Plus, they feature a full bar in case you want a glass of wine or a cocktail to go along with your meal. They even have happy hour specials on a daily basis. On top of providing mouth watering food, Erbelli’s also completes the overall dining experience through their comfortable atmosphere and excellent service. The owners of this Kalamazoo Restaurant are committed to always trying out new ideas and flavor combinations to elevate the Italian dining experience and show why they are worthy of their many awards.

Double-Action Doors From Eliason

Eliason is a leader in the manufacturing of double-action impact traffic doors. These units are installed in hundreds of restaurants, supermarkets, warehouses, factories and other businesses as a way to create an easy flow from room to room. With Eliason’s exclusive line of Easy Swing® doors, your employees can move easily throughout your business space. Without the hassle of holding doors open or damaging unprotected doors, business owners can see an increase in productivity and a simplified work flow.

Double-action doors are built to open in both directions, allowing the panels to always move away from the person passing through them. Busy restaurant kitchens are one example of where servers holding large trays need a door that can be opened from either side without pulling it toward them. Often, a two-panel installation is made in large factory or warehouse setting, where heavy machinery or large loads are moved from one space to another. Protective equipment can easily be added to both sides of the doors to prevent damage where these vehicles or loads will impact the doors while going through.

The sturdy construction of Easy Swing® doors from Eliason also provides a sound barrier between two areas of a business. The door can include a window, which is safe for employees going in and out. While these doors are durable, they also have a lightweight construction that allows them to be opened easily by employees and load-bearing vehicles. A time-delayed, automatic closing action prevents any items from being caught in the door. These doors are available in a variety of colors and sizes that can be customized to fit your work environment.

Eliason has been manufacturing double-action industrial doors since 1952. Their expertise and excellent customer service creates an ideal combination for business owners who are looking to invest in an improved door system for their work place.
